photo editing program: photoshop elements 2

I am currently a photoshop elements 2 user. I am wondering if photoshop elements 3 adds enough funtionality that I need to drop the money on it, or if I could just stick with 2. What all does elements 3 add?

I love PS elements 3 for the following reasons:

1. Colored photofilters

2. Correction tool -- you can take zits off your face (for instance)

3. Outstanding cloning function

4. Fantastic interface for working with RAW images

Just got back from South Africa and have this photo that I want to crop but only if I can remove the branch from the leopards face. This particular leopard cub was killed by a lion the week after photoing, so would like to turn it into a decent photo if I can. I have a copy of photoshop, but not used it in anger yet !!! Would photoshop be able to adjust this or any other photo editing software?

A couple of things to help you use the clone stamp tool on Photoshop:

1. Use the magnifier to get the face of the leopard isolated as much as possible. I sometimes magnify to the pixel level and do it one by one when it really matters.

2. Choose the area that you are going to clone very carefully. If you close the black spots exclusively it will look like a big black mark on the photo.

3. Vary the point where you are cloning from frequently.

4. Be mindful of changes in shadow, light levels, etc so that the brightness will be as much the same as possible.
