Using MS Photo Editor to adjust the color of image
Although today's scanners generally do a remarkable job reproducing the colors of the original source photo, inevitably minor touch-up editing is required.
It may take you a few tries to get the rectangle sized appropriately. Just click anywhere outside the rectangle to deselect and draw again.
Select Image / Balance and adjust the settings as desired:
Normally only minor changes are needed, but experiment until you find a combination that pleases you.

Resize an Image using Microsoft Photo Editor
Place you cursor over the image and double click this will open Photo Editor in a new window. Microsoft Photo Editor is an image manipulation software that comes with FrontPage. On the Photo Editor toolbar select Image then from the menu select Resize Image demonstrating re-sizing process Text instruction of how to resize an image
To resize an image so that image stays in proportion do not put any ticks in Allow distortion or Smooth.
You can resize the image in cm, inches or pixels (100 pixels is approximately 1 inch or 2.5cm) just fill in the information in the width and height field.
When you are happy with the size of your image from the toolbar select File from the drop down menu select Save As.
Give you image a meaningful name in lower case with no spaces or punctuation. Save as either a jpeg (.jpg - good for photographs) or gif (.gif - good for logos and simple images).

Using MS Photo Editor to Rotate an Image
Open Microsoft Photo Editor
From the File menu (or open icon), choose Open. Navigate to where you have your photos or images stored. Click on the one you want to open.
Click on the Rotate tool in the Toolbar
Click the Rotate tool until your image rotates to desired direction.

Using MS Photo Editor to Change the Resolution of an Image
Resolution is the number of pixels in an image. A higher number correlated to a higher quality of image. Sometimes you want to decrease the resolution of an image to lower the file size. REMEMBER, you can decrease the number of pixels in an image but you can't always increase pixels without distortion or pixelation.
Open Microsoft Photo Editor
From the File menu (or open icon), choose Open. Navigate to where you have your photos or images stored. Click on the one you want to open.
From the File menu, choose Properties
Resolution will be listed. If it says 300, you can drop that to 150 and still print the photo. If you drop the resolution to 72, this photo can be used to display on monitor or projector in PowerPoint or on the web. The photo will not print very sharp at this resolution.
