1. On the File menu, click Save.

2. Select the folder where you want to save the image.

3. In the File Name box, type a name for the image.

4. Click More to change the number of colors or compression settings.

5. Click Save.

On the File menu, click Save or Save As.

I have a cheap but decent Fuji digicam (Fuji FinePix A210), and of course, it came with it's own photo-downloading/editing software. The software has worked fine, always putting the correct date on the photo filenames, until recently. But now, it labels all my new pics with "2002 ..." How did this happen? How can I fix it? I've tried going into the options tab in the software, but I can't find any reset/set button. All help appeciated, and thanks!

For quite a while, I've been looking for something to take care of simple things. Picasa doesn't do exactly what I want.

Basically I'm looking for something to resize, crop and export as a jpeg or gif format. I've always used Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0 but it's been discontinued and causes all sorts of errors under XP.

I have software that came with my printer but it's typical package stuff that wants to autostart, and control all the pictures on my system.

Two come to my mind. Irfan Viewer and Photo Filtre. Photo Filtre is a creation of French Students I believe. It is joined by just about anyone that has the talent to create Plug-ins and Filters for a Photo Editing Program. It can be downloaded as English or French and maybe others, don't know about that.

I use it daily. It will do all the things you ask for on your post and much more. It's Free.

Irfan Viewer is world know for it's features. While it won't do as much to a photo as Photo Filtre it may do some things better. It's also free. Both programs accept donations.
