newest image blending techniques, PhotoBuilder can smoothly blend one or more pieces of
images together. Its most appealing feature lies in the fact that you can easily get a lot
of advanced image features without sophisticated operation.
This method adds grain. It does it a little better than the grain
filter.
1. Open b&w image
2. Create new image and fill with black
(layer>new layer>'alt'+'backspace')
3. Apply grain filter to maximum value
(filter>artistic>filmgrain>set grain to maximum)
4. Apply a 1 pixel Gaussian Blur to the grain layer to soften it
(filter>blur>gaussian blur...select 1.0 radius to try out)
5. play with the opacity of the layer to increase/decrease the effect
